Some say God is like a big elephant that we only feel one part of. But how would they know that?
“The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.” – Flannery O’Connor
Feelings are a gift from God, but like all his gifts, they can be misused.
Truth is true for everyone, even if they can’t see it, whether it “works for them” or not.
Reality ‘is what it is’ according to the way God made it.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
By downplaying our need for correction, we downplay our need for Jesus.
Though truth and goodness are indispensable, Jesus also said we should be known by our love.
Jesus is the beginning and end of all knowledge, moving us past mere opinion and endless doubt.
If you want to know God, look to Jesus (not feelings, circumstances, or religious experiences).
If you run from the truth, you will never be healed by the truth.
